She has also appeared in a number of Hindi and Kannada movies. She graduated with a degree in Mathematics from Jesus and Mary College, University of Delhi.
At the age of 18, Rakul Preet Singh started her career in the entertainment industry as a model. In 2009, she made her acting debut with the Kannada film Gilli.
