Hailee Steinfeld is a talented American actress, model, and singer. Throughout her career, she has acted in several television shows and films and made her mark in Hollywood. Also, she has wowed the audience with her musical renditions as a versatile singer.
Career
Having started her career at the tender age of 10 years, she has been part of a string of short films. When she was 13 years old, she was seen in She’s a Fox (2009), where she played the role of Talia Aiden; and True Grit (2010) where she enacted the role of Mattie Ross, considered to be her breakthrough role.
Thereafter, she was given prominence in many lead roles. These include Begin Again (2013), Romeo & Juliet (2013), Ender’s Game (2013), and 3 Days to Kill (2014).
Also, Steinfeld was part of the Pitch Perfect Film Series (2015-17), where her character name was Emily Junk.
Besides, she played the role of Nadine Franklin in the comedy drama The Edge of Seventeen (2016); this role earned her the nomination for Best Actress for Motion Picture Comedy or Musical at the Golden Globe Awards.
From the year 2019 onwards, Steinfeld has also been starring in Dickinson, a comedy drama series, as Emily Dickinson.
More so, she is slated to essay the titular role of Kate Bishop / Hawkeye, based on a fictional superheroine, in the upcoming television miniseries Hawkeye by Disney and Marvel Cinematic Universe.
In addition to voicing the role of Gwen Stacy / Spider-Woman in the superhero animated film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, she is voicing for the same character in the upcoming sequel to this film – scheduled to release in the year 2022.
Music Career
Where her music career is concerned, Steinfeld made a mark in Pitch Perfect (2015), with her performance in ‘Flashlight’.
Thereafter, her debut single ‘Love Single’ was released by Republic Records, as a result of a partnership deal between them. This song is the lead single of four songs of her debut extended play Haiz, which saw a release on 13th November 2015.
Recently, in May 2020, her second extended play Half Written Story was released; this mini-album features her two singles ‘I Love You’s and ‘Wrong Direction’.

Besides her acting career, Steinfeld also dabbles in charitable causes, where her work involves working with various charities to improve the lives of children and empower them.
