Nandamuri Balakrishna is an Indian actor, producer, and politician known for his works in Telugu cinema. He has acted in more than a hundred films. He was born on 10 June 10 1960 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. He made his debut as a child artist at the age of 14 with the film Tatamma Kala (1974). He received three state Nandi Awards and one South Indian International Movie Award. He is an elected member of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly from Hindupuram constituency since 2014. Balakrishna is also the Chairman of Basavatarakam Indo-American Cancer Hospital and Research Center in Hyderabad. Balakrishna is the sixth son of former actor and Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh N. T. Rama Rao. Balakrishna’s wife’s name is Vasundhara Devi.
Nandamuri Balakrishna made his Telugu film debut with Tatamma Kala as a child artist in 1974. He has also appeared in films including Rowdy Inspector (1992), Simha (2010), Legend (2014), Akhanda (2021) and Bhagavanth Kesari (2023).
