Pusarla Venkata Sindhu, commonly known as PV Sindhu, is an Indian badminton player. She was born on 5 July 1995 in Hyderabad, India. Sindhu is considered one of India’s most successful sportspersons and has won medals at various tournaments such as the Olympics and on the BWF circuit.
PV Sindhu is the first and only Indian badminton player to become the world champion. She is also the second individual athlete from India to win two consecutive medals at the Olympic Games. Sindhu has made India proud by winning medals at various tournaments, including the Olympics and the BWF circuit. She has won a total of five medals at the BWF World Championships, which is a remarkable achievement. Sindhu has won a gold medal at the 2019 World Championships, a silver medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics (Rio), and a bronze medal at the 2020 Summer Olympics (Tokyo). She is the first-ever Indian woman to win two Olympic medals. Sindhu has also won six medals at the Commonwealth Games, including two golds.
PV Sindhu’s current coach is Muhammad Hafiz Hashim. PV Sindhu’s father’s name is PV Raman, and her mother’s name is P Vijaya. PV Sindhu did her schooling at Auxilium High School, Hyderabad, and later attended St. Ann’s College for Women, Hyderabad.
She started playing badminton at a very young age and was encouraged by her parents who were both former volleyball players. Sindhu’s dedication and hard work have helped her achieve remarkable success in her career as a badminton player. She is an inspiration to many young athletes in India and around the world.
